It's official! Barney Stinson has a dad!
John Lithgow How I Met Your Mother
Rumors have been swirling for quite some time that John Lithgow would guest star as Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris’ character) on How I Met Your Mother.
And now, it has been confirmed!
In an upcoming episode of CBS' hit sitcom, "How I Met Your Mother," we will be getting to see the talented John Lithgow make a guest appearance as Barney Stinson’s father. Hello! That is effing exciting news right there, peeps.
TV Guide Network's Hollywood 411 spoke to Colbie Smoulters at the Elle Magazine's "Women in Television" event who spilled the news saying, "We have John Lithgow coming in for Barney's father…it’s really exciting and different for our show, he's such a pioneer."
That episode will likely air at the end of February!
