News : Saif, Kareena to tie the knot

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have finally put all the speculation about their break-up at rest by declaring their marriage. The couple is keen to tie the knot by next year. Marriage was always in their mind but they did not go for it due to their respective careers but not the duo has seen that marriage will not hamper their career and hence they are eager to walk down the aisle.

"Saif is absolutely comfortable with Kareena's family. Kareena has also finally found a comfort level with Saif's children. This was the biggest stumbling block in the marriage," says a source.

Says Kareena's close friend, "Saif has been keen to marry Bebo for ages now. He wanted to make it official soon after he met and fell in love with her. But the couple agreed that such an early marriage would affect her career negatively. But Kareena is now at a stage where her marital status would make no difference to her career."

There has been no rift between Saif and Bebo and the wrong rumor has hurt both of them. Says Kareena's close friend, "Bebo told us that there can never be any issues between them because they are devoted to building a life together. Whether people like it or not, Bebo and Saif are in this relationship for keeps."

Well, another big fat Bollywood wedding is coming up.

The Bachchan household is all geared up to welcome a new addition to their family. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is pregnant and the Bachchan family is basking in joy. This good news was declared by soon to become grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan. He tweets, "I am going to be a grandfather soon. Aishwarya is expecting. Thrilled and happy".

Ever since Aishwarya and Abhishek tied the knot in 2007, the rumor of Ash's pregnancy occupied many gossip columns. Everytime Ash put on weight, the news of her being pregnant did the rounds but this time the report directly came from the horse mouth and there is no lie in the report.

News : Ileana D’cruz to play an old woman in Barfee

South actress Ileana D'Cruz who features in Anurag Basu's Barfee will be seen aging from a 19-year-old to a 65-year-old in the movie! The 24-year-old D'Cruz is a model-turned actress, who has been part of several South films including the superhit, Pokkiri. Barfee is her first Hindi film.

"All the three lead actors are playing out-of-the-box, and extremely interesting characters in Barfee," said Anurag Basu, the film's director,

"Ranbir Kapoor, as everyone knows, is playing a deaf and mute boy, Priyanka Chopra is not mentally-challenged as reported, but is mildly autistic (a form of mental illness that causes a person to withdraw into a private world of fantasy and be unable to communicate with others or respond to his/her real environment) in the film. Ileana D'Cruz, on the other hand, is playing a character who will be seen aging from a 19-year-old to 30 to a 65 year-old," stated Basu.

The shooting of Barfee took off on June 14 at Darjeeling where Ranbir and Ileana are participating in a 10-day schedule. The hill station is Ranbir's hometown in the film and will be showcased as never before. After a 15-day gap, the shooting will continue in Mumbai, where Priyanka will start working for her part in August. As for the title Barfee, it was chosen because Ranbir's name in the film is Murphy, and being mute, he mumbles it as barfee!

News : Mandira Bedi becomes mother of a baby boy

After a long wait, finally TV actress turned anchor Mandira Bedi becomes mother of a baby boy. She delivered a baby boy on a very special day, i.e. on father's day. Mandira Bedi and her husband Raj Kaushal was overjoyed with the new born. Raj and Mandira were married for the past 11 years.

The baby was born at Lilavati hospital on Friday, July 11 at 11.01 am. They named their son Vir.

Proud father Raj Kaushal tweeted: Had a superb Fathers day (my 1st) thanks to my little Vir. Thank you @mandybedi for the best gift in my life. I think I am in ♥again ☺Ladies and gentlemen. At 11.01am IST weighing 6 pounds the czar of our lives Mr Vir Kaushal has arrived. :-)

The chocolaty boy of Bollywood, Imran Khan is doing great in his personal as well as professional front. The actor is currently eagerly awaiting his next release Delhi Belly.

Now that all's going well in Imran's life, the actor wants to bury the hatchet with Ranbir Kapoor too.

Speaking about his long-standing rivalry with Ranbir, Imran played down the whole thing saying, "Everything is fine between the two of us. He just messaged me last week saying that he saw the song DK Bose and he is waiting to watch the film. We're still friends!"

Imran blames the media for everything that went wrong between them,

"I am not blind to the stories that come out. When such stories surface, I just pick up the phone and call him. He in turn messages me to clarify things. Certain people around you will always try to poison your mind. This can be rather dangerous. When the first story about the two of us fighting was printed, Ranbir called me to clarify. There must've been people around him doing all this. I never blamed him for it," he said.

All these years, she was afraid to throw a birthday party but now she has overcome the nightmare and geared up to arrange a lavish birthday party. The ugly spat between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan at Katrina's birthday party left a mark on Bollywood.

Says a friend of the actress, "After what happened at her birthday party three years ago Katrina developed a paranoia about hosting a party.

A very private person by nature, she was outraged and embarrassed by what transpired between the two Bollywood titans on her special day.

She wouldn't step out of her home for any social event for weeks after, so complete was her sense of mortification about the open war between the two Khans at her revelry."

She will invite all those who make a difference to her life in one way or another.

Says a source close to Katrina, "She wants to leave the nightmare of that birthday party behind and just enjoy the company of all her colleagues. It won't be a fake party. She won't invite anyone just for formality's sake."

Also, this year her birthday coincides with the release of her next film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Says a friend of Katrina, "She wants to celebrate, because that's what Dobara is about".

Abhsihek Chaubey's sequel to his Ishqiya has been titled Dedh Ishqiya and the director is keen to have Madhuri Dixit in the film along with his earlier cast of Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi.

Says a source connected to the sequel. "It will be quite something to watch the two radiant beauties together."

Looks like, Vidya's dream of acting with Madhuri Dixit will soon come true.

Back in 2006, when Vidya was just two-films-old in the industry, she was asked who her idol was.
"Madhuri Dixit," Vidya had promptly replied, adding that she only wanted to conduct her career with half the grace and dignity that Mads had.

We wonder, where's Madhuri gonna fit in the sequel…

News : Vidya Balan refuses Kamal Hassan

Vidya Balan has got two films lined up for release this year, 'Dirty Picture' and 'Kahaani'. Due to packed dates, Vidya refused south star Kamal Hassan. Kamal approached Vidya for 'Vishwaroopam' but the actress refused due to dates problem.

She was keen to star opposite the star but she is helpless. Kamal is penning the screenplay, lyrics and dialogues of the movie. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha in a pivotal role. It is a trilingual movie to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

This will be the costliest Indian film ever made.

Mallika Sherawat's latest item number Jalebi Bai is creating a sensation all over. To promote her song, Mallika made some jalebis. Director Indra Kumar was also present at the event.

The actress distributed the piping hot sweets to the guests at the hotel as well as her fans.

Sources from the sets confirm that while shooting for the song, the entire unit had a blast, as the director would call for as much as 25 kilos of jalebis daily for the entire unit to feast on!

While promoting the song, Mallika sported a one-shoulder tiered dress which she paired with silver ankle-strap heels.

News : Asin is still falling short of offers

After giving two of the biggest hits (Ghajini and Ready) in Bollywood, we probably expected Asin Thottumkal to be in every directors wishlist. But what's shocking is that currently, the actress has only one project in hand and that is Housefull 2. Zarine Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez have already been cast as the other two leading ladies, which means Asin will have to share her screen space with them.

Says a trade source, "She has just one film, Housefull 2, in which she will share screen space with Jacqueline Fernandez and Zarine Khan."

If the buzz is to be believed, Asin is quoting the same price as the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. This is the main reason why most directors are refusing to cast her in films.

Rumors also have it that the Kollywood producers and directors are unhappy about the fact that she ignored them when she started receiving offers from Bollywood.

News : Salman Khan voted Bollywood's perfect father

Popular matrimonial site 'Shaadi.com' has carried a survey ahead of Father`s Day on Sunday as who is the 'perfect father figure' and surprisingly Salman Khan who is known for his hot temperament has been voted as the 'Perfect father figure'.

39 percent of the respondents chose large heartedness Salman Khan. "The poll reflects the mindset of today`s youth. Although times are changing, qualities like generosity and masculinity are still admired as `fatherly` traits amongst Indians," Gourav Rakshit, business head, Shaadi.com, said in a press statement.

Though Sallu miya is yet to get married and have children but India sees him as a perfect father. In the voting, he beat politician Rahul Gandhi who won 31 percent votes.

Other contestants, Ranbir Kapoor and cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli received merely 12.5, 9.2 and 7.4 percent votes, respectively. The poll was carried over 9820 Shaadi.com members across India.

Bigg Boss participant and Pakistani actress Veena Malik is all set to make her Bolywood debut in a double role in 'Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai'. Veena who garnered huge attention for romancing actor Ashmit Patel in Bigg Boss is highly excited for her debut venture.

The film will also mark the directional debut of actor Aanand Balraj who acted in several films like Ram Lakhan, Khal Naayak, Saudgar, Pardes. Aanand is the brother of director Deepak Balraj who directed 'Hafta Bandh'.

The film will go on floor shortly. The venture was announced at an event held in Versova on Tuesday.
