News : Preity Zinta wishes best friend Aishwarya

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a dear friend of Preity Zinta and the bubbly actress wishes her all the very best. Preity is happy to hear that Ash is pregnant and is expecting to meet her very soon.

Talking about their friendship, she had earlier said, "Ash is someone I can call a friend. We have kept in touch and shared our ups and downs through the years. We have always been there for each other through our tough times. I know that I can call her up anytime."

Preity is currently out of the country and she will catch up with Ash as soon as she arrives in India. She has conveyed her wishes to the family personally too. "Aishwarya is a dear friend of mine. I wish her all the very best," she says.

Preity has been a close friend of Aishwarya and Abhishek over the years and once she comes to India, she will plan a dinner with the duo.

At the same time, Preity is upset with the report of replacing Ash in Rajkumar Santoshi's comic caper 'Ladies & Gentleman'.

She said, "I am very disturbed with these false reports. I really fail to understand why no one checks with me on its authenticity. (Filmmaker) Rajkumarji (Santoshi) is a close friend, so are the Bachchans".

The buzz that Katrina Kaif is playing the leading lady in Yash Raj's high octane action thriller 'Dhoom 3' is totally denied by Yash Raj. According to an insider, Katrina Kaif is not in the movie as the actress is busy with Yash Raj's another flick, 'Ek Tha Tiger' opposite Salman Khan directed by Kabir Khan.

'Dhoom 3' will see Aamir Khan in the role of a smart villain. He will undergo a total image makeover for this film. The hunt for Aamir's leading lady is still on.

In 'Dhoom', Esha Deol played the leading role and in 'Dhoom 2', Aishwarya rocked as a heroine. In the first part and second part, John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan played the cool and intelligent thieves.

Is she also thinking to settle down? "Not at all. I still have a few more years left to work before I settle down in life and take a sabbatical. The 'Band Baaja Baraat' actress Anushka Sharma has been detained at Mumbai airport for carrying undeclared goods. She has declared her accessories while travelling from Mumbai to Toronto but did not declare her goods while coming from Toronto to India.

She was detained at the airport by custom officials and was questioned for hours. In middle of all the chaos, Anushka has a reason for rejoice; she was awarded with the best actress award at the event.

In a span of one month, two more actresses have been detained at the Mumbai airport. Bipasha Basu was held at the airport and was released after paying custom duty 12,600. Minissha Lamba was also detained at the Mumbai airport for 16 long hours for not having declared Rs. 50 lakhs worth of jewelery.

Uday Chopra is all set to quit Bollywood.

The actor tweeted "Ok confession time… Dhoom 3 is my swan song… my last film… no I'm not giving up acting… quite the opposite, acting is giving up on me!"

Uday, debuted with Aditya Chopra's Mohabbattein and remained in public memory because of his happy-go-lucky character as Ali Akbar Fateh in Dhoom and Dhoom 2. Just a few days back, Shilpa Shetty's younger sister Shamita Shetty had announced that she was switching to interior decoration.

Interestingly, both Shamita and Uday debuted in the same film — Mohabbatein — in 2000.

News : Aditya Narayan slapped!

Actor cum singer Aditya Narayan was slapped by a woman at a suburban restobar when he was trying to get close to the woman. She hit him for the misbehavior.

An eyewitness informs us, "Aditya was drunk and hanging around with his friends at a pub in a five star hotel. His girlfriend Shweta was also in the vicinity.

Apparently, the actor-singer passed a snide comment on a girl and was even falling over her.

The mystery girl was with a bunch of buddies but she alone was more than a match for him. Before he knew it, she slapped him."

Aditya confirms that he went to the said restobar but denies getting into any sort of scuffle.

The actor-singer says, "Do you think any girl can slap me and get away? Whoever this girl is, she is doing it just for publicity. She can say whatever she wants to. I would say she is very dumb."

When he was asked about that particular night, he informs, "It was just a minor argument. I was there with two beautiful women. A club is full of people.

They act fresh and when you don't respond to them they get offended. As long as my conscience is clear I have no worries. My parents have taught better than to get into fights with women."

Both the stunners were seen donned in a Ramona Narang dress; thank God, the colors were different! While Bips' wore a beige coloured dress, Amisha's was yellow!

Bipasha Basu found it so amusing when she saw Amisha in a similar dress.

The actress posted on a social networking website: "Also last night a fellow actress landed up wearing the same dress in a diff color as me on d green carpet!It ws quite amusing even for me:)"

Katrina Kaif who has a worst memory of birthday following a severe tiff between Salman Khan and Shahrukh khan three years back has denied throwing any birthday party. When Kat was asked about her plans of throwing a grand bash and inviting all those who has made a difference to her life, she said, "No, I am not planning on throwing any lavish b'day party, unlike what the rumours say." When asked if she'll spend her birthday with her family in London or Mumbai the actress said, "I have not planned anything yet. Looks like Anushka really had a tough time at Toranto. To make matters worse, while receiving an award Lisa Ray mispronounced her name as 'Anushka Shankar'. Even though KJo was quick to correct that, Anushka's expression said it all.

"Vishal is currently scripting `Kaminey 2`. He will first direct a film with Ajay Devgn to be co-produced by Devgn, Kumar Mangat and himself. He will then start working on `Kaminey 2`, for which Shahid will have to prepare once again", the source added.

"As far as the item dance done by me is concerned, it is a warning to Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone that the era of item girls is over… now it's time for item boys," Aamir said.

Earlier, Aamir said that he has copied the styles of many cine legends in the dance number.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who directed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 'Sarkar Raj' comments on hearing Ash's pregnancy. He says he hates to see beautiful woman becoming pregnant but he makes an exception for Aishwarya.

Congratulating Abhishek, RGV tweeted: "I hate beautiful women becoming pregnant but since she`s ur wife I will make an exception ..congraaaaaaaats :( (sic)."

"I worship beautiful women nd I hate to see them evr bcm mothers nd in case of aishwarya since she`s the most beautiful I hate it even more," further posted the 49-year-old.

RGV directed Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in 'Sarkar'. After Ash and Abhi's marriage 'Sarkar Raj' was the first film that brought together Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya.

Kareena Kapoor is upset with media and people cropping false stories about their break-up. She accused jealous people spreading false stories about them as they are going strong in their relationship. Bebo explained that she and Saif are very happy in their relationship and there is no such issue between them. She also rubbished stories of impending marriage as reported in the media. She said both of them are busy with their respective careers and marriage is not in the card now.

She said, "I have been shooting regularly. I know that people have been speculating that we will marry soon, but I have so many movies to finish and Saif is busy with his films."

Kareena also burst out at media for spreading such malicious report. She said, "All these media speculations sometimes get to us. At the end of the day, we are known for our jobs and we have always been open to everyone about our relationship. "

The couple is heading to Paris to spend some quality time with each other as for the last one year both of them are working round the clocks and did not get time to enjoy time. "I have been shooting non-stop. Saif and I are now taking a break and going to Paris for a vacation to spend some time together, as I have four films releasing this year, "said Kareena.
