Cattiness, as a quality, is just not something we can get behind. But as a fashion statement, we’re all for it.
Particularly the prints in Layla Racy’s new collection (and we would say that straight to her face). The Connecticut-born designer balances soft, feminine silhouettes with bold animal patterns with the help of muted earth tones in her New York-made eponymous debut.
Her print, tie-waist tunic in olive or relaxed-fit trousers with elasticized waist and cuffs roar in the playful pattern, while the washed silk tank in light peach and baggy trousers in burned orange provide the pops of color in summer’s punchy hues. The ivory sleeveless, gathered dress and white oversize linen top keep things cool.
Mixed feelings? The boxy, dual-color crop top in solid taupe and leopard-print panel should suit you purrfectly.
