Trend Report: Summer Boots

We all know boots are our best friends during the cooler months. They are fashionable, go with everything and are super comfy. Wearing boots during the warmer, summer months is a new trend that is easy to pull off. I wear boots year-round and always make my shoes a priority in my look, even if it means being a little warmer than I would prefer. Summer dresses look great with high-heeled boots, while flat boots pair well with shorts and a t-shirt for a casual day out.

The heel on these boots will elongate your legs, but it’s also small enough to make them comfortable all day. The oversized cropped t-shirt, sunglasses and earrings make this a very boho look, perfect for a daytime look going to class or catching up with friends.

To dress-up the look, try pairing boots with a dress. This outfit would be perfect for a summer wedding or night out. The nude ankle boots have a cute peep-toe, and nude colors are very in-style at the moment. If you are feeling a little edgier, try pairing a dress with black boots. You can even wear a more masculine-style biker boot. The feminine touches of lace in the dress will balance the masculine style of the boot.

This style is very versatile, and can be worn dressy or casual. We all have our favorite pair of ankle boots, so why not wear them in the summer? It will add an unexpected edge to any summer outfit. As for our taller boots, be careful when pairing them with a summer outfit as they can cut your legs off at an awkward height making pairing them with shorts difficult. If you are someone that can wear this style, avoid high heeled boots; Julia Roberts may have been able to pull this off in "Pretty Woman", but it?s not for everyone. The added fabric and coverage will also make you warmer than you would want to be during those hotter days.

Thoughts?
