News : Aishwarya calls off French Awards

Following the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan asked the French Government to postpone the award ceremony scheduled to take place in the capital yesterday. The Bollywood actress was to receive the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) from the French government.

The award ceremony was cancelled at the last minute. Aishwarya arrived with Abhishek along with Jerome Bonnafont, the French ambassador to India and Farooq Abdullah.

Bonnafont expressed his condolence and condemnation to the victims and said that respecting the sentiments of the people of India he had been decided to postpone the ceremony to a later date.

Aishwarya said, "We are very shocked and saddened by this incident... And keeping in mind what's happened, we didn't deem it prudent to celebrate. My family and I felt it would be prudent to request that the ceremony be postponed, and we thank the French government for understanding our sentiments in the current situation."

Aishwarya Rai's replacement for Heroine is now juggling between Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.

While Bhandarkar has been pursuing his Fashion leading lady Priyanka Chopra, currently on holiday in the United States, to sign on the dotted line, UTV head honcho Ronnie Screwvala is in talks with Kareena Kapoor.

The dates are being worked with both. Kareena is busy with Bodyguard, followed by Agent Vinod.

Priyanka, on the other hand, is committed to a film by Kunal Kohli and Anurag Basu's Barfee. "Ronnie is trying to work the schedule around them so that the film can go on the floors soon.

Ronnie had called Kareena but since she was busy shooting for Bodyguard with Salman Khan, they could not meet immediately.

Priyanka is in LA and Madhur has spoken to her. He is waiting for her to get back."

With search for a leading lady on in full swing, all that is awaited is the official announcement of the film getting back on track.

Kamal Rashid Khan who is popularly known as KRK made a strange deal with the 'Murder' girl Mallika Sherawat. The 'Bigg Boss' contestant said that he will give Mallika 2 crores if she agrees to star in his film but if the film dooms at the box-office, he will pay her 5 crores.

"If you will do my film I shall pay you 2 cr and if the film will not be super hit then I shall pay you 5 cr as fine," KRK sent the tweet to Mallika.

Not only this he wants John Abraham to play her boyfriend. The script demands Mallika Sherawat to play a girl who dates many guys at a time.

"Why did I offer film to John and Malika? According to script I need a man who is good boyfriend and a female who is having 3 boyfriends," KRK wrote on his Twitter page.

"Malika ji is very open minded girl she doesn't mind to have many boyfriends so people will accept her in that character easily," he added.

Kalam Rashid Khan throws an open challenge to Mallika.

"I challenge you that one day you will accept my offer," he tweeted to Mallika.

Kajal Aggarwal who is making Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgan starrer and Rohit Shetty's directed film, 'Singham' refuses to wear bikini or do any kissing scene. Kajal might be new girl in Bollywood but acting is not a new thing for her, she has done many Tamil and Telugu movies.

In the film, she is playing a happy go lucky type of girl. She said that she believes in doing films which she can watch and enjoy with her family. She maintains she has reservation in doing intimate scene from the beginning of her career and she has been lucky in this regard as no filmmakers till date approached her to wear bikini or asked her to do intimate scene.

News : Rajinikanth makes a call to Deepika Padukone

Tamiil superstar Rajinikanth is keen to start 'Ranaa' as soon as he recovers fully. He has been calling the cast and the crew from abroad to make sure that the movie will resume very soon. First he called up K S Ravikumar (director of Rana) and then Vairamuthu (lyricist of Rana) and now it is heard that Rajinikanth made a call to the heroine of the film, Deepika Padukone.

Rajini's poor health has made the actress change her schedule but she assured Rajini that she will free her dates when he will resume the shooting. At the same time, Deepika expressed her well wishes to the actor.

The shooting of 'Ranaa' will commence from September.

News : John married to Genelia according to Hindu rituals!

Pandit Bhagawat Guruji 's claim that he recited actual mantras and performed actual puja while filming John Abraham and Genelia D'Souza's marriage sequence for the film 'Force' came as a big shock for all. According to the pandit, John and Genelia are husband and wife now.

Miffed with the Pandit's claim, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah burst out his anger over the pandit's claim and said, "Countless number of weddings have been performed in Hindi cinema, but this is the first time that I have come across someone so keen to be in the limelight that he can go far enough to claim to have married Genelia D'Souza off."

According to Vipul Shah, the Pandit wanted to gain attention with these 15 minutes appearance. "I don't hold anything against Pandit Bhagwat Guruji but will not let anyone point a finger at the leading lady of my film in this manner. He is only looking out for his 15 minutes of fame without any real standing. The whole incident is bizarrely shocking and there is no truth to it at all. Any such claims should be dismissed as a desperate attempt to gain attention," Vipul Shah added.

Shahrukh Khan is leaving no stone unturned to give his highly anticipated film, 'Ra.One' a star studded look. He has now roped Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt to do a cameo for the movie. Shahrukh likes Sanju Baba's bald look in 'Agneepath' and he asked him to do a special appearance for his movie. King Khan looked upon Sanjay as his elder brother and so when he approached Sanjay for the small cameo, he readily agreed.

Priyanka Chopra shared screen space with Shahrukh Khan in 'Don' and has also done an item number with him in 'Billu'. SRK feels that Priyanka is a great actress and she has got a lot of talents. Priyanka is more than happy to accept his proposal.

Both Priyanka and Sanjay are shooting for Karan Johar's 'Agneepath' and being the best buddy of Shahrukh, Karan gave the two stars two days off from his shooting schedule.

Karan Johar approached Kareena Kapoor to shake her legs for Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra starrer, 'Agneepath'. The song sequence requires Kareena to groove in a villian's den just like Helen of the late 70's but the actress straightway refused.

A source revealed, "It was a tough call for Kareena. She certainly didn't want to refuse KJo who is a very close friend. But she did."

However, this is not the first time that Bebo refused KJo. The filmmaker once approached Kareena to play the read role in 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' but then she declined the offer. The meaty role later went to Preity Zinta and the film turned out to be blockbuster.

When Kareena said no to Karan Johar, he took her decision in the right spirit.

News : Mahima Chaudhary separated from her husband

Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary has supposedly separated from her husband Bobby Mukherjee, an architect by profession. Mahima and Bobby have a four year old daughter. It is heard that Mahima moved out of Bobby's house.

Mahima at first hide her marriage to the world. Later when she conceived, she divulged that she is married to Bobby Mukherjee and is expecting. Bobby is her brother's best friend. Bobby was married earlier but after meeting Mahima, he divorced his first wife.

Mahima and Bobby got married according to Hindu rituals and did not invite friends from film world.

It seems trouble in marriage is an never ending story in Bollywood. First it was Karishma Kapoor and now Mahima Chaudhary who is making news for their troubled marriage.

Saif Ali Khan is not only possessive about her ladylove Kareena Kapoor but also could not resist when somebody dare to touch Kareena tattoo which he has inked on his forearm. During the shooting of 'Aarakshan', when the make-up artist is doing his makeup, he strictly asked them to keep distance from the tattoo.

A source from the unit of Aarakshan says, "Saif required a lot of preparation every day on location. A lot of makeup had to go into making him look 'normal' in the part of a Dalit.

But when it came to his tattoo, he wouldn't allow anyone to touch it. He would do the makeup over the tattoo himself."

Not only this during the shoot in Bhopal, he would mail his look to Bebo and only after her consent, he would carry on with his look.

Says the source, "Every morning he would click himself and send his photo to her. Only after she approved would he go ahead with the shoot."

The couple has planned to tie the knot next year.

After splitting up with Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif has moved on in life. She has not hesitation in sharing screen space with her ex-lovers. She has signed film with Salman Khan and also ready to star opposite Ranbir Kapoor for Ayan Mukherjee's next flick.

Ayan is a very good friend of Ranbir and Katrina and hence they agreed to forget the past and concentrate on the future.

A source close to the actress said, "Katrina has consented to star in the fim. However, she is yet to sign the dotted line. It has been a long time now. Katrina has put her relationship with Ranbir behind her. She is ready to move on."

"Katrina is totally focused on work now. She is back to being her usual happy and chirpy self. Life doesn't stop due to breakups. Why shouldn't she work with Ranbir?" further added the source.

Though Ayaan is well aware of their break-up, he is determined to rope Kat opposite Ranbir as he feels Kat only suits the role. However, he also considered Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma for the role but Kat was his top most priority. He has written the script keeping Kat and Ranbir in mind. The film will be directed by eminent filmmaker, Karan Johar.

Anushka Sharma has grabbed another meaty project. She will play Ajay Devgan's love interest in Vishal Bharadwaj's next flick to be produced by Vishal, Ajay and Kumar Mangat. Highly impressed with Anushka's performance in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' and 'Band Baaja Baraat', Vishal is keen to sign Anushka Sharma.

When Vishal approached Anushka, she immediately accepted the movie as the actress always wanted to work with the 'Omkara' director.

The film will go on floors next year in mid January. This is the first time Anushka and Ajay will share screen space together.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu's break-up comes as a big shock for all as the duo was in a strong relationship for a long time. Marriage has been cited as the reason of their split-up though the duo has never come open about what went wrong with their relationship. But during the recent episode of 'India's Most Desirable', John discloses the reason of splitting-up with Bips and takes the blame on himself.

He said that Bipasha is a headstrong girl and somewhere he could not match up to her. He hunk said, "somewhere down the line, I think I failed to match up to her."

John also said that that he was not ready to get married. "We decided on a closure as I didn't match up to the relationship, I was not ready to commit when the relationship needed culmination," he revealed.

On the very episode, John was joined by his parents who talked about his weaknesses and odd habits. John's dad said he wants his son to overcome his squirmy habit of always shaking his leg while talking.

News : Aamir to pair up with Imran for 'Delhi Belly' sequel

On looking at the good response of 'Delhi Belly', Aamir Khan has decided to make sequel to 'Delhi Belly' to be directed by Kiran Rao. If everything falls in the place then this will be Aamir Khan's first film with his nephew Imran Khan. The other star casts of the film will remain the same.

A source revealed, "Currently Kiran Rao is still in the process of scripting. It was during the post-production phase that Aamir came up with the idea of a sequel. Since, he wasn't sure about the film's response then, he decided to wait."

The sequel will start exactly from the same point where the prequel ends. "The sequel will start with Aamir entering as Disco Fighter and meeting the three boys," added a source. The perfectionist who was seen as an item boy will have an important role to enact in the sequel.

In the long tenure of acting career, Salman Khan has never locked lips with his heroines as the actor is not comfortable in doing so. He maintains the same for Kabir Khan's next flick, 'Ek Tha Tiger' where he is paired opposite his ex-flame Katrina Kaif. The duo will maintain the no-kiss clause for their next film.

However, Kat is adamant not to lip-lock with her co-stars but she broke the clause for 'New York' and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' but makes sure that she would never kiss in her films.

Says a source, "Kabir Khan had convinced Katrina for the only kissing scene she has done so far in New York.

He was sure she would see how important it was. But with both Salman and Katrina adamant on the no-kiss policy there was no choice but to drop it."

Katrina admits she has broken her no-kiss clause for ZNMD. "Yes, there's a fleeting kiss with Hrithik. It was something that had to be done. But that apart, my stand on kissing remains unchanged," she says.
