Zindagi Na Milege Dobara : Movie Review

Zoya Akhtar has opened a new chapter of dosti with 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. The film tells one to enjoy life to the fullest, don't set any limit, take unlimited risks and enjoy the success. Generally, films in the past were made about simple theory of colleges, canteen fun, friends, friendship, love and jokes but 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' is a totally different from the usual track, and it is executed in an interesting manner. Not a single moment of the movie is boring. It is joyous ride with three guys, enjoying their bachelorhood.

The minute incidents that happened in day to day life among friends have been given an interesting twist. The film is like a gentle blow. The plot is well executed and the bonding of male figures is shown convincingly. There is no dull point in the movie and the story keeps you engrossed.

The story encircles around three friends, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan and speaks in length about their work-life, their family and their love life. The film actually starts from the day when the trio headed to Spain for a trip. It was not just a trip but a lesson for them. From this trip, they have gained various experiences which changed their perception towards life.

Kabir's (Abhay Deol) family runs a construction company. Imran (Farhan Aktar) is a copywriter and also writes poems in spare time. Then there is Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), a stockbroker who lives in London. He is in a disturb state of mind due to his trouble commitment. The guys meet Laila (Katrina Kaif ) who is half Indian and half British on a beach in Costa Brava. She taught them deep sea diving. Her lively nature impressed Arjun so much that he gradually falls for her.

Their trip to Spain was planned impromptus one day when Abhay has been engaged to interior designer Kalki Koechlin, a family friend.

Lots of manly funs are shown in the movie, loitering on the beech bare chest, drinking around, raising toasts, motivating each other to challenge their fears, night-outs, involved in mockery.

The film has many touchy sequences but what touched my heart when the three boys are sitting together on their last day, drinking and singing the Doordarshan theme song.

Screenplay by Reema Kagti and direction by Zoya Akhtar was mind-blowing. When you watch the film, it will take you to a different world. It has a rare taste which hardly found in movies. Humor is out of the world, emotions is at high pitched, friendship is wordless, love in indefinable.

Speaking about performances, all the three guys are at their best. Their friendship is well lifted and they too have done justice to their roles. Hrithik Roshan gets into the soul of the character of Arjun and enacted his part flawlessly. Abhay Deol as a rich guy is highly commendable. He has made his mark in mainstream cinema. Farhan Akhtar was like never before. He has done serious role as well as funny role very convincingly. Katrina Kaif was a treat to watch. She acted beautifully and also looked pretty. Kalki was impressive.

In the nutshell, 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' is a fun filled ride. The film will bring good return to the box office. The metro guys will definitely love the movie. Good offering from Zoya Akhtar. Recommended.

News : 'Dabangg 2' to take off in January 2012

The biggest blockbuster of year 2010 'Dabangg' is coming up with its sequel and the shooting of the film will start from January 2012. Salman Khan is in a hurry to start the shooting but Arbaaz Khan who is taking up direction for the first time is in no hurry to start the film, he wants to take some more time.

A source close to the sequel revealed, "Arbaaz will start the 'Dabangg' sequel in early 2012. Since he`s directing it, there are more responsibilities on him than the last time, and he doesn`t want to rush in unprepared. The sequel has to match upto 'Dabangg,' and to ensure that, the director has to prep a lot."

The source also added, "'Dabangg 2' will be a continuation of the first. The film will pick up where it ended and Salman, Sonakshi, Sonu Sood will make an appearance in the part 2 as well. Rest of the cast is being worked out. Arbaaz has got the first draft and he will start working on it. "

Arbaaz confirmed, "Yes, the sequel will start early next year. Salman will be giving the requisite dates. It`s too soon to comment on anything else."

News : Deepika Padukone to visit Rajini in Chennai

The superstar is back home after a brief treatement and rest in Singapore. He is expected to resume shooting of 'Rana' in September and his lead heroine Deepika Padukone assures him to join the shoot when it gets started and also said that she would visit the actor soon in Chennai.

Says the source, "Deepika has assured the superstar that she will be there to shoot whenever he's ready to do so."

Doctors advised him some more time to rest in Singapore but without doctor's consent, he returned home as Rajinikanth was missing his home, family and fans.

"He missed home. He missed his friends, family and fans. He insisted on returning now," says a source very close to Rajnikanth.

A source said, "For over a month now, Bipasha has been talking about a very sweet guy in her life. She`s been telling friends that he`s an eligible young man and has been showering her with gifts and some much-needed attention. News : Karan Johar to recreate K3G magic

2001 blockbuster, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, finally gets its sequel.

Director and producer Karan Johar has confirmed to a tabloid that that he is all set to recreate the magic of K3G, soon.
Karan said, "It's a workable idea. I am no longer averse to it. It would be a bold step if I make it."

Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, the sequel will stick to its original star cast

"It's very strange. But all the six main members of the cast are as dear to me now as they were 10 years ago when I made the film. I'm sure they're as charged about the sequel as I am," said Karan.

Revealing about the sequel, Big B twitted, "It would be a story on the growth of the brothers and the problems that arise because of their independent understanding and working of the business empire of the father, a split within them and so on…"

Now that most sequels such as Double Dhamaal, Murder 2 and Golmaal have and are doing better than the original films, Karan is keen on going ahead with its sequel.

News : Krrish sequel to be shot in Hyderabad

Come October, Rakesh Roshan's sequel to Krrish, is all set to go on floors. But time, the shoot would take place in Hyderabad and not Mumbai. The set to be completed by late September has been designed to resemble a business hub in Mumbai so that Hrithik can shoot in the very places without the crowds hounding him while he performs his stunts.

The script of the film requires Hrithik Roshan, the lead actor who plays a superhero to perform hi-octane stunts in the busy streets of Mumbai."Hrithik cannot shoot amidst heavy Mumbai traffic. This would require stopping traffic.

The entire city would then come to a halt. Thus shooting in the real streets of Mumbai is practically impossible. Hence, the filmmakers required to have a set erected which would represent Mumbai," revealed a source.

"The idea is to recreate the posh Bandra Kurla Complex. Rakesh Roshan first went to ND studio in Karjat but decided it was not possible to go ahead with the design there.

The design would have required him to build roads in the studio, which was not feasible. Plus he was also looking at reducing the production cost as much as possible and building a set in Mumbai would be far more expensive than building one in Hyderabad," says the source.

News : Munnabhai, Circuit Jodi back again

After the super duper success of the first and the second series of Munnabhai, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi Jodi is back with Rajkumar Hirani's new flick, 'Munna Bhai Chale Amerika'. The director confirmed that he is working on the script and as soon as he finishes working on it, he will start the shooting.

He said, "I am writing it and will direct it as and when the script is ready."

Rubbishing all rumors about the third series of the flick being stalled, a source while talking to a daily said, "Hirani has been working on the Munnabhai script with his writer Abhijat Joshi in the US and they will soon declare the film. They are planning to go ahead with the film in February next year with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi while the leading ladies are still to be decided."

Munnabhai and Circuit a created a new chapter of laughter with 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S' and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. Hope, their combination works again.
