Mere Brother Ki Dulhan - Movie Review

'Marriages' never go outdated in Bollywood. Yash Raj who has successfully made Shaadi Vivah movies like 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' and 'Band Baaja Baraat' again click on the same button with little innovation and twist and turn. It would not be wrong to say Yash Raj new offering 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is an ordinary plot filled up with lots of funny and interesting element. There is nothing new in the story but the way the entire drama was set up with loads of hungama, interesting twist and humor definitely makes the film a must watch one.

Moreover, the cute faces of Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar bring freshness on the celluloid. Audiences love to see the trio on-screen.

The story encircles around Luv Agnihotri (Ali Zafar), his brother Kush Agnihotri (Imran Khan) and Dimple Dixit (Katrina Kaif). Luv resides in London while Kush is an assistant director in Hindi films. Failure in love Casanova Luv one day rings his brother Kush and asks him to look for a bride. Kush goes every extent to find a perfect match for his brother. Luv completely trusts in Kush's choice as in the childhood, their choice was almost similar. Both loved Madhuri Dixit.

After intense hunt, Kush finally zeroed on Dimple who is happy go lucky kind of girl, desperate, who smokes drinks, totally bindaas and enjoys life to the fullest. When things almost fallen in place and both the families reached the final stage of marriage discussion, preparation is on then Kush falls for his brother's dulhan, Dimple. Actually, from here the story starts and takes many twist and turn.

The first part is very catchy with lots of dhamaal, it slows down in the middle but again picks up at the end.

First-time director Ali Abbas Zafar deserves huge round of applause. For any new comer, handling a comic scene with utmost perfection was a difficult task but Ali has showed his excellence here. His humor timings were excellent. Moreover, he has extracted the best out of the three characters. Not a single moment was dull. As far as the music of the movie is concerned, 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' scored high in the musical department. 'Dhunki', 'Madhubala', 'Choomantar' are mostly played. Choreography by Bosco-Caesar was amazing. Sudeep Chatterjee's cinematography is vibrant.

Speaking about performances, Katrina Kaif, Ali Zafar and Imran Khan all three of them steal the show. With every film, Katrina's performance is growing better and better. Her confidence level rises with every film. Imran Khan was also superb. He showed his excellence here. Ali Zafar was the limelight of the show. He charisma was magnificent. He was very spontaneous and proves that he has a long way to go in Bollywood.

In the nutshell, 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is light hearted com-rom, good entertainer, very sweet and highly entertaining. The film will enthrall one and all. The movie is highly recommended and a must watch show.

Gauri Khan did not play the perfect host to Priyanka Chopra. Piggy Chops was invited to Shahrukh Khan's Eid bash at Mannat but Gauri Khan did not welcome her with open heart. When Hrithik Roshan was having a chat with Priyanka, Gauri intervened between them and pulled him to another group.

Priyanka was left all alone though out the party, there was not a single conversation between Priyanka and Gauri. Gauri's reaction clearly showed that she was not in the favor of inviting Priyanka but SRK's pressured her to invite her to the bash.

The rift between Priyanka and Gauri started over Shahrukh's close proximity with Priyanka Chopra.

News : Salman Khan to do a Rajnikant!

If buzz is to be believed, Salman Khan is all set to do a Rajinikanth in his forthcoming film. Atul Agnihotri is working on a biopic on southern superstar Rajinikanth.

"There is a huge responsibility involved in making a film on Rajinikanth. We need his approval and contribution. Making a film on him will be an enriching experience for us. Certain commerce is involved in film making; so we are working out the logistics," Atul Agnihotri told a news agency.

Ad filmmaker Lloyd Ba Pista is all set to write and direct the film.

Talking about Salman playing Rajni sir or not, Atul said: "We don't know. We are working out and it would be great if he (Salman) becomes part of it in any which way. Let's see, Lloyd is still working on the script and going back and forth. He is consulting people. Let him revert back to me; then we will take it forward."

Once recovered, Salman Khan will begin shooting for Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin.

Following SRK's footsteps, Imran Khan is now off Twitter, following nasty comments that his followers have been tweeting him, off late.

The actor has deactivated his account after some rowdy tweeple posting stupid comments.

"I didn't like Twitter as a mode of communication. There are people who make nasty comments about you, who don't even know you!" Imran is quoted as saying by a news daily.

Imran went on to add that some people posted the message "you are a loser" to him without even knowing him. That, and similar nasty comments put him off. Now, he has decided to keep off Twitter.

Vidya Balan has finally admitted that she is in a relationship with UTV head honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur. At the same time, 'The Dirty Picture' actress declined marriage with Siddharth.

"I am in a very happy space with Siddharth. Yes, I want to get married. I want to be a bride. But I am not married yet," Vidya has said. Rumor of their alleged affair started doing the rounds when Vidya and Siddharth were spotted on a vacation in Goa.

Soon after this the report of their secret wedding started doing the rounds which both Vidya and Siddharth refused.

Shahrukh Khan is doing everything possible for the promotion of his upcoming flick Ra.One. The latest we hear is that at the upcoming Noida Grand Prix, the superstar get Formula One sensation Michael Schumacher, to drive a car, carrying the name Ra.One on it.

The Grand Prix is all set to take place in Noida on October 30.

Tells a source to the tabloid, "The idea of tying up Ra.One's promotions with the Formula One race in Noida is entirely Shah Rukh's. The details are being worked out. If all goes according to plan, Schumacher will be racing in a car that says, Ra.One".

News : Aishwarya Rai issues legal notice to ‘Heroine’ makers

Just a few days back, we had reported that Aishwarya Rai had returned the cheque she had taken as a signing amount for Heroine. Now the latest we hear is that the actress has sent a legal notice to UTV and Madhur Bhandarkar, warning the producers against leaking her photo-shoot to promote Heroine.

The actress has sent a letter through her lawyers that she will seek damages if the pictures that she has shot for the film earlier, gets leaked out.

"Ash is fed up of the whole thing. She's been ethical and professional about the matter. But, considering the way things ended on a sour note with Bhandarkar, she does not want him to use any of the stills or scenes that she had already shot at any point in the future," the source is quoted as saying by a daily.

Added the source, "Ash has already returned her acting fees, so there's nothing that makes her liable to her director or producer. She is still upset with the way Madhur wrote a huge blog against her which basically called her a liar. She always wanted to come back and complete the movie, but the way things turned out, has left a bad taste in her mouth."

However, a source from the production house says, "Madhur was not planning to use those stills, but we guess Ash didn't trust us. The photo-shoots that we have done with her for the promotions are really great pictures. We are sorry that these pictures won't be revealed ever to the world. Aishwarya is looking just awesome in the pictures. We are putting it in our safety vaults where it won't come out ever."
