During the mornings, the last thing I have time to do is spend hours on my hair before I leave. It just isn’t practical, but I still want to look my best. So, I compiled a list of a few hairstyles that are very easy to do in the morning, and that won’t take that long. I also have a few tips on getting the most out of your styles.

Tips.

- Wash and dry your hair the night before. It saves time in the morning, and also means you won’t be bothering your roommate with the blowdryer at 7am!

- If you flat iron your hair, do it the night before as well. Flat ironing your hair can take a while, depending on your hair type. Do it the night before to give yourself some more primping time in the morning, or it’ll give you a few extra minutes to sleep! Also, I find that flat ironed hair looks even better the next day after it’s been slept in!

Hairstyles.

1. Boho Pony.

This hairstyle can work with straight, curly or wavy hair. First section off a 1 inch piece of hair near the hairline and braid it to the end, then tie it off with a small elastic. Flip your head over and pull your hair up into a ponytail leaving the braided bit loose. Flip your head back over, and tame any sections, then add your braid to the ponytail positioned it until you like it. Fasten the ponytail.

2. Side Braid.

Gather all your hair to the side of your head, and make 3 sections, braid the hair tightly until the end. Fasten the braid with a small elastic. You can also pull apart the braid to loosen it to create a more relaxed feel.

3. Beach Waves.

In a small spray bottle (you can get them from any dollar store), combine 4 parts water with 1 part sea salt, and a little bit of any conditioner you have. Brush your hair out, and section off, spraying your hair 1.5 inches down from your roots. Scrunch your hair with your head flipped over, and place into a high bun. Once your done your make-up and everything else, take your hair out of the bun and fluff it up. Instant beach waves! Avoid your roots with the spray to avoid drying them out, the conditioner will help in keeping your hair hydrated.
