Your wardrobe is strewn across the room. A reject pile is on the bed and you have absolutely nothing to wear. The perfect LBD is dirty from Girl’s Night Out and you just noticed your favorite pair of heels have a scuff mark. What's a stylish girl to do? Whether it's a first date with a special guy or the fiftieth date with a long term boyfriend, most of us have enough drama in our lives without our wardrobes turning on us when we need them most. Luckily, College-Style is here to help give you some inspiration on what to wear to dates, big or small. On-Campus Date As college students, we’re pretty much perpetually strapped for cash. One fun way to save money is to attend a college-sponsored event for a date at little or no cost. Be it on stage singing karaoke or watching a theatrical production, you want to make your outfit simple, but unique. This year’s new colorful denim trend instantly sets you apart and pairs perfectly with your favorite white tee. Adding a colorful scarf is relaxed and playful while comfy flats make you ready for anything. Dinner Sometimes the dining hall just doesn't cut it, especially for the first few dates. Volunteering You and your sweetheart want to do something for yourselves and other people? Donate your time and energy by spending an afternoon helping out at the local soup kitchen, homeless shelter or after school program. What better way to connect with your date than by giving back together? You'll be reminded what a sweet, generous guy he is and you'll both get that awesome feeling that comes from knowing you can make a difference.
