Miley Naa Miley Hum : Movie Review

The only reason why this film is in the highlights is because it marks the launch of Political scion Chirag Paswan! Having said that, there's one dialogue mouthed by Kangana Ranaut in the film that clearly sums up this effort, "Khele bine haar jaoge toh jeet nahi paaoge. Aur agar khelke haroge toh shayab kabhi jeet paoge." Well maybe that's why you even have Chirag son of Politician Ram Vilas Paswan making an attempt at acting. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

Chirag a budding tennis player is brought up between warring parents Siddharth (Kabir Bedi) and Shalini (Poonam Dhillon). Chirag divides his stay with his parents on monthly basis. While one month he stays with his father and work with him on his vineyard, the next he stays with his mother, a business magnate and helps her out with her work. Now the twist in the story comes when both the parents want to see Chirag married. Shalini wants Chirag to settle with Kamiah (Sagarika Ghatge) while Siddharth wants Chirag to marry his friend's (Dalip Tahil) daughter Manjeet (Neeru Bjwa). In order to concentrate on his tennis career and get out of the sticky situation Chirag bluffs being already in a relationship with an upcoming model Anishka (Kangna Ranaut).

How he convinces his parents about dating Anishka, how Anishka agrees to be Chirag's girlfriend blah blah follows through the rest of the plot.

Directed by old timer Tanveer Khan, Miley Na Miley Hum is one of the most poorly written stories. There are many sub-plots within the script which are forced only to reach to a certain point. The film starts with a flashback and the story only comes to the present times in the last 5 minutes of the film.

Chirag is shown to be a nobel, humble guy making you wonder if that's his profiling being done only to make him stand more confidently in the next elections! The originally green eyed actor, wears a very glaring blue coloured lens which does not really suit him and is easily detectable. Moreover, he is taut and holds only one expression in each and every situation of the film making you wonder whether he is happy, sad, worried, tensed etc.

There are some scenes which are hilarious and unbelievable. For starters, Shalini views one of the old videotapes of Siddharth playing with Chirag and guess what that videotape is from? Rakesh Roshan's Khoon Bhari Maang where Kabir appears to be extremely young!

Sagarika Ghatge and Neeru Bjwa are completely wasted and barely have anything to do in the film other than dance one-one song each. Kangana Ranaut over acts and her character isn't well defined. Here again her looks seem odd. Wonder if she is undergoing one surgical change by each film. This time around her bust looks heavier and lips much more fuller. Sadly there's work done only on her appearance and not on acting. She seems to have lost touch even on her drunken act that she so easily used to pull off in her earlier films.

Music is a deterrent and only adds to the agony of the viewers. Shweta Tiwari's item song looks hilarious rather than raunchy all courtesy Chirag's taut dancing.

Over all, Chirag Paswan should try harder once again. This time around his attempt with Miley Na Miley Hum clearly doesn't work.

So the team of Hindi film industry's old times Govinda, Suneil Shetty and Jaaved Jaafery come together for a film as hackneyed and tripe as themselves. Produced by Suneil Shetty himself, Loot has the three coming together in an attempted comedy directed by debutant filmmaker Rajnish Raj Thakur. Whether the comedy tickles people's funny bones or not remains to be seen.

Loot revolves around four characters Pandit (Govinda), Akbar (Jaaved Jaafery), Builder (Suniel Shetty) and Wilson (Mahaakshay Chakraborthy). All happen to be small time robbers and cons and are called together to execute a big heist planned by Batlivala (Dalip Tahil). The four are set out to Pataya to pull off a robbery of jewels. But expect the bumbling thieves to fill their plans with errors and they never fail you.

A shoddy rip off of Hollywood flick Crime Spree, Loot clearly has a very jaded feel to it. Not only has the film been in the pipelines since a very long time (easily noticeable from Mahaakshay's hefty appearance), even the filmmaking sensibilities are very trite.

One can easily point out that there have been no efforts on writing the script or the screenplay as the film is a scene by scene lift off. However, it wouldn't be wrong for one to expect at least some amount of execution put behind this copied copy too. But debutant filmmaker beats you even at that.

The entire film is mired by tawdry situations, tacky production values and aching dialogues. So much so that you feel like storming out of the theater. Almost 80 per cent of the dialogues rhyme for no rhyme or reason making you wonder if the characters on screen are trying to play antakshri.
Govinda, Suneil Shetty and Jaaved Jaafery put together could make up for a very good comedy as one cannot doubt their comic timing. If only the filmmaker could tap that.

Mahaakshay is a complete disaster and is one of the sort points of the film. Shweta Bhardwaj barely has scenes in the film. Ravi Kissen's plot is completely wasted and he only reminds you of the painful film Chitkabrey.

Mika and Kim Sharma yet again are wasted, not that Mika as an actor could be tapped better. The biggest waste of a resource is of Mahesh Manjrekar. An actor of his caliber could really do wonders in the film but sadly gets reduced to doing his hackneyed act of his earlier times.

Rakhi Sawant's item number comes right towards the end credits and by then you are already out of the theater running for your lives. Mika's promotional track doesn't exist in the film while Music overall is best avoided.

On the whole, Loot robs you off your sanity. Watch it at your own risk.

They were last seen together in "Paa". Now they are re-uniting on the small screen, even if it's just for a bit.

Vidya Balan shot at Film City with the Big B for "Kaun Banega Crorepati".

Dressed in a sexy blood-red sari on the lines of what Dimple Kapadia had worn in "Sagar", Vidya had a whale of a time getting quizzed by the legend and promoting her keenly awaited "The Dirty Picture", which releases worldwide on December 2.

The fun-filled episode (apparently to be telecast on November 10 on Sony TV) will also see Vidya and the Big B moving to the sensational "Ooh La La" track, which has taken the nation by storm.

Director Abbas Mastan's movie Players will see the very sexy Bipasha Basu don a bikini.

It is heard that in the trailer of the film, which will go on air on November 3, Bips will be seen frolicking on a beach in a red skimpy bikini.

If buzz is to be believed, Ms Basu is dressed to kill, in the film. However, nothing about her bikini look has been revealed yet.
We have seen Bips don a bikini previously in Dhoom 2 and she did look like a million bucks.

Starring a huge cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sikandar Kher and Omi Vaidya, Players is an official remake of the Hollywood film The Italian Job.

News : Esha Deol to star in Yash Raj's next

According to the latest Bollywood buzz, Esha Deol will be seen in Yash Raj's next movie and she will share screen space with Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Esha's performance in her latest film, 'Tell Me O Khuda' has impressed Yash Chopra so much that he has approached Esha for the next.

Moreover, Esha's mother and veteran actress Hema Malini shares a good rapport with Yashji. She has worked in his films, 'Trishul' and 'Veer-Zaara'. Esha Deol also got a major break in Yash Raj's 'Dhoom'.

When contacted, Esha's mother Hema Malini said, "Yashji did see Tell Me O Kkhuda and really liked Esha's performance. He was kind enough to call up and say how much he liked the film and Esha."

Hema Malini is not disheartened with the box-office record of 'Tell Me O Khuda', "We were not looking at a 2,000-print release of our film. Nor did we need to recover money to the tune of Rs 200 crores to make a profit, like Ra.one did. I'd be safe if Tell Me O Kkhuda makes 25 crores. It's a much smaller film than Ra.One, and so we were not worried about the number of prints Shah Rukh has put out. We knew all along Ra.One was a bigger film."

Saif Ali Khan is an extremely possessive boyfriend. The actor hates it when his lady-love, Kareena Kapoor is touched by any other actor.

On actor Preity Zinta's chat show, Saif revealed, "There are times when I see an actor holding Kareena, I do feel like killing the actor. I am sure she feels the same way."

However, we don't think Kareena feels the same. In earlier interviews with a popular tabloid, Bebo confessed that she is not a possessive girlfriend to Saif and doesn't mind Saif getting romantic on screen, with his co-stars.

"It's a part of our job and there's nothing to get bothered about. I see every film as a film and not as an extension of our everyday life. Though, in the song Ishq Sufiana, both Vidya and Emraan are seen getting super cosy and stuff, you wouldn't find them kissing each other in the song.

Shahrukh Khan's highly ambitious project 'Ra.One' hit the theatre this Diwali and after receiving a mixed review, Shahrukh Khan is geared up for Lady Gaga's show at Formula 1 after-party event to be held in Greater Noida Sunday night.

"Everyone seems to be happy with 'RA.One' in Los Angeles...I feel so touched and happy. now off to Delhi for Formula1 and Lady Gaga show!!" Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page Saturday.

Gaga, who arrived in India Thursday night will be performing at the F1 after party event and she assures that her special performance will have an "Indian influence".

The after-party has been organized by actor Ajun Rampal and restaurateur A.D. Singh's high-end lounge and bar Lap. It will be held at a special 20,000 sq ft construction at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida.

Shahrukh is looking forward to the event as he wished to rope in Lady Gaga for 'Ra.One' but things did not work out. King Khan will get to catch up with Gaga on her life and career in an exclusive tete-a-tete for a chat show on UTV Bindass.

Fraternities from the fashion, films and bureaucrats are expected to grace Lady Gaga's show.

Rishi Kapoor is all set to essay the role of a homosexual, in Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year'. This is going to be the most unconventional character, the actor has ever played. The role was initially given to Shahruk Khan.

Says a trusted source, "For the first time in Rishi's career, he will play a homosexual in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year." According to the source, Rishi plays the role of a dean in the film. He shares a very close and special relationship with Ronit Roy's character.

Rishi confirmed the news, "Yes, my character is soft on Ronit in Student Of The Year. Why not? I play the dean of the college. And yes, my character is gay. It's one of the most important roles of my career at the moment.

Buzz has it that Bebo is all set to play a schizophrenic character in the film. Kareena has planned to completely drown herself in the character.

Director Milan Luthria is one busy man these days. Apart from his new movie The Dirty Picture, he is also focusing on his forthcoming film, the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The sequel will have Akshay Kumar essaying the lead role.

In the sequel, Akshay will play a romantic Dawood Ibrahim. Milan Luthria says, "the latter promises a different take on the underworld. Unlike the original, it'll show the romantic side of underworld in a big way."

Any guess on who would be playing Akki's lady love in the film? Well, if buzz is to be believed, Milan and producer Ekta Kapoor might just rope in Kareena Kapoor. Apparently, Bebo has even read the script.

The director stresses on the fact that the film sequel will see less of violence and more of love and romance. It would be a happy and entertaining film.

News : Salman replaced by SRK in Bansali’s next

Sanjay Leela Bhansali ambitious project 'Bajirao Mastani', all this while was being penned down keeping Salman Khan as Bajirao, in mind. However, after a long wait and with no response from the actor, Sanjay has now decided to rope in Sallu's arch rival Shahrukh Khan.

Well, this is not the first time that such a thing is happening to this film. Earlier in 2003, the film was announced with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai. However, once the couple split, Bhansali decided to rope in Kareena Kapoor, in the year 2005. But that didn't work out too.

An industry source reveals, "After things couldn't work out with Salman Khan, Sanjay was disheartened and didn't know who he should approach for the role. Since it's a big budget film, only a star can pull it off. A friend of Sanjay suggested he consider SRK.

He was quite kicked with the idea and immediately called up King Khan and offered him the role. The actor who is aware of the film and liked the subject asked him to give him a proper narration."

Like any other ex-couples, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu also made sure that they would always maintain their professional relationship and would never say no to any filmmakers. The time has finally come to prove their professionalism. When filmmaker Abbas Mustan approached them for two scenes 'Race 2', they readily agreed without giving a second thought.

A source revealed, "When Bipasha was shooting at Filmistan for Players in stage number 6, John was there too filming for Sajid Khan's `Housefull 2` in stage number 3."

"They came face-to-face several times, but completely avoided each other. Everyone on the sets noticed how they intentionally kept their distance from each other. But now the two, who have been cast in Abbas-Mustan's Race 2, have been asked to do two scenes together. And both of them have agreed," added the source.

When the daily contacted director Mustan he confirmed the news and said, "Yes, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu will be shooting two scenes together for `Race 2` .We narrated the story and scenes to both of them and like true professionals, they have committed to shoot together without any restrictions. '

Bips remained diplomatic and said, "I have nothing to say about it. I share a very good rapport with the filmmakers and so, I would do whatever they want me to do for the film. I have nothing more to say about it."

Let's see how much bombardment they would create when the two exes come together.

'Twilight' actress Kristen Stewart is a huge fan of Shahrukh Khan. She calls him an epitome of romance and said that she would love to work with him. "Well, I am a big fan of Shahrukh Khan who is an epitome of romance in Bollywood," Stewart said in an e-mail interaction.

Kristen said that if she was given the opportunity to do the second part of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" then she would love to work with King Khan.

"And not just Hollywood but I would love to work with him in Bollywood movies too and for that I am also looking forward to learning Hindi," said the 21-year-old actress who rose to fame with vampire saga "Twilight".

Saif Ali Khan is busy with his upcoming film, 'Agent Vinod' and hence couldn't make to the unveiling of her wax model at Madame Tussauds. But Bebo has immediately send him the picture of her wax model and Saif commented that she looked hot. Bebo's wax statue was dressed in a Manish Malhotra outfit from the song Mauja Hi Mauja track from Jab We Met and it was placed right next to that of Amitabh Bachchan.

She said, "Saif couldn't come as he's busy with Agent Vinod. I sent him the pictures a night before on the phone, and he said 'it looked so hot! Karisma also couldn't be here as she' busy with her film".

It's a very proud moment for Kareena. Excited Kareena said, "The idea of being immortalised forever is scary. The feeling hasn't sunk in yet. When I looked around the room, I realised I was the youngest person from Bollywood to be waxed. Also I am right next to Mr Bachchan, so what more can one ask for?"

Kareena Kapoor is quite satisfied with the outcome and said that her eyes was very expressive. Bebo adds, "They have done a marvellous of capturing the eyes so well. They are expressive and have that same feel which the song from Jab We Met showcases. I can't comment about my statue, but the fans who travelled miles to come and see it have loved it. They've all told me it looks exactly like me."

They set the screen ablaze with their mind blowing chemistry in 'Band Baaja Baarat'. Ever since then, there has been no turning back for Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. In a recent shooting for Filmfare magazine, the couple shot a series of romantic pics. They literally created magic, together.

Anushka and Ranveer get candid during a tête-à-tête with the magazine. When asked if there was real life romance in their life, Ranveer said, "First of all there was no relationship. When we aren't working together we are not in touch. We aren't even connected on the phone. But I'd again say I was never in a relationship with Anushka. Meri aisi kismet kahaan…"
